Anwar said a meeting with the National Security Council and the National Economic Action Council will be held tomorrow.
“We will convene again tomorrow to explore possible action. For now, supply remains under control,” Bernama reported him as saying in Kuala Terengganu today.
Anwar said the government has taken steps to ease the burden on the public, including maintaining the subsidised RON95 petrol price at RM1.99 per litre and providing diesel aid for school buses.
He previously said the country has sufficient RON95 supply to maintain the RM1.99 per litre subsidised price at least until May.
Putrajaya, however, has raised the price of diesel in West Malaysia, RON97 petrol and non-subsidised RON95 significantly in the weeks since the conflict broke out.
