
PETALING JAYA: A teacher in Kelantan believed to have killed a Form 1 student and injured another after ramming into them yesterday has been remanded for two days.
The 57-year-old was remanded to facilitate investigations into reckless driving, Berita Harian reported.
The two victims were hit by the car in their school compound in Kota Bharu.
One girl died at the scene from severe head injuries while the other is being treated for severe injuries at Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital.
The driver was unhurt.
Kota Bharu police chief Azmir Damiri said yesterday that the accident occurred when the driver mistakenly stepped on the accelerator, causing the car to ram into the girls who were outside a surau.
