PETALING JAYA:
Bukit Aman is working with Interpol to locate the founder of the controversial eHati marriage motivation programme and her husband, who are believed to be overseas.

Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar said Interpol would inform Bukit Aman if the two suspects were arrested.

“We believe the two suspects are still outside of Malaysia, and police have taken appropriate action to ensure that they are arrested if found,” Bernama reported him as saying today.

In November last year, Shazeli said police had issued an arrest warrant for two people for failing to turn up in court to be charged over the organising of an eHati programme.

They were supposed to be charged on Oct 14, alongside aesthetic doctors Shazifh Osman, 38, and Munira Hishamshah, 37, who pleaded not guilty to unlawfully conducting activities reserved for registered counsellors at a convention centre in September 2024.

Police quizzed 95 people over the eHati programme, which was targeted at a Malay audience.

According to a Facebook user, the event’s final day allegedly featured a female speaker in a bikini who stripped naked and danced with members of her group.

Police confirmed that the eHati event involved nudity, particularly during a segment on the final day of the programme.
