The deadline for individuals and non-individuals, including organisations, estates and Hindu joint families not in business, was previously set for tomorrow.
“Taxpayers are advised to make full use of this extension to ensure smooth processing and avoid system congestion near the deadline,” Bernama reported LHDN as saying today.
LHDN said compliance with the deadline is essential to avoid action under the Income Tax Act 1967, including penalties for late submission or failure to file.
The e-Filing service may be accessed directly at mytax.hasil.gov.my or via the official LHDN portal. Taxpayers are encouraged to refer to the relevant explanatory notes if clarification is needed before submission.
“They are also advised to review all tax-related documents and information in advance, including income statements, receipts and supporting records.
“Tax return forms should be completed carefully to ensure submissions are accurate and complete,” said LHDN.
