PETALING JAYA: The body of a 10-year-old boy who went missing after reportedly falling into a drain in Bandar Puncak Alam on Tuesday was found on a riverbank in Sungai Buloh today.
The boy’s body was discovered roughly 10km from where he reportedly fell into a drain and was swept away by strong currents during heavy rain, reported Sinar Harian.
A member of the Saujana Utama volunteer fire brigade which was conducting search operations in the area spotted his body.
Selangor fire and rescue department northern zone 7 chief Samsol Maarif Saibani said the boy’s body was handed over to the police.
“The victim was found fully clothed, still wearing a light-coloured shirt and black trousers,” he said.
