Lee Hsien Loong to visit Pahang, Terengganu

The former Singapore prime minister and current senior minister, will have an audience with the Pahang ruler and meet government leaders of both states.

PETALING JAYA:
Singapore senior minister Lee Hsien Loong will visit Pahang and Terengganu from May 4 to May 8, where he will meet with the state leaders.

Lee, who served as the republic’s third prime minister from 2004 to 2024, will have an audience with Pahang ruler Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah. He will also meet Pahang menteri besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

While in Terengganu, Lee will meet with menteri besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and other state leaders.

The Singapore Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that “senior minister Lee’s visit builds on the strong momentum of bilateral exchanges, deepening Singapore’s longstanding and multifaceted ties with Malaysia’s states and their leaders”.

Lee will be accompanied by Singapore law and second home affairs minister Edwin Tong and junior minister for foreign affairs Joan Pereira.
