
KUALA LUMPUR: Two foreign workers pleaded not guilty in the sessions court here today to raping an Indonesian woman last month.
Ali Arshad and Habib Ur Rahman, both Pakistani nationals, are accused of gang-raping the victim at a hotel along Jalan Imbi between April 14 and 15.
If convicted, they face a jail term of between 10 and 30 years.
Judge Mazuliana Abdul Rashid denied Ali and Habib bail and ordered their remand until the end of their trial.
The court set June 4 for case management.
Deputy public prosecutor Banusha Jegathesan represented the prosecution while lawyer S Dinesh appeared for Ali. Habib was unrepresented.
