PUTRAJAYA:
Technical issues have prevented some fleet card holders under the subsidised petrol control system (SKPS) and subsidised diesel control system (SKDS) from receiving their subsidised fuel quotas since May 1.

The domestic trade and cost of living ministry said the issue stemmed from integration problems between the road transport department’s MySikap system and the ministry’s MySubsidi system.

In a statement, it said the issue affected certain vehicle owners who renewed their motor vehicle licence, registered new vehicles, or carried out ownership transfers between April 1 and 28.

“The ministry is currently undertaking corrective measures and reviews with the relevant parties to ensure that data updates and quota regeneration can be implemented immediately,” it said.

The ministry said affected SKDS and SKPS fleet card holders may submit applications for review and updates no later than 5pm tomorrow.

The required details include the company name, Companies Commission of Malaysia registration number, vehicle registration number, and date of road tax renewal, new vehicle registration, or ownership transfer.

The ministry expects quotas for affected SKPS and SKDS fleet card holders to be regenerated between May 9 and 11.

Subsidised petrol under SKPS is sold at RM2.05 per litre while subsidised diesel under SKDS retails at RM2.15 per litre.
