Man found dead in pool of blood in Johor

PETALING JAYA:
The body of a man was found in a pool of blood in front of a food and beverage outlet in Pekan Nanas, Pontian, Johor, early this morning.

Pontian police chief Hadzrat Hussien Mion Hussain said a team from the district police headquarters’ criminal investigation division rushed to the scene after receiving a report at approximately 3.53am.

He said the victim, a 22-year-old man, had severe injuries to his arms and legs.

“The victim was confirmed dead at the scene. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

“Police are working to identify the motive and track down the suspects,” Bernama reported him as saying.

Hadzrat urged members of the public with information about the case to contact investigating officer Ahmad Shah Abdul Rasheed at 019-757-8020 or the nearest police station.
