The 46-year-old man said this was the first time he had won a major prize after playing Sports Toto for decades, usually spending RM20 per draw.

He said the winning combination of 3, 7, 10, 38, 42 and 52 was one of his favourite number sets, which he had been betting on consistently for the past few months.

“Last week, I had a very strong feeling that I was going to win something big, and my intuition turned out to be right,” he said in a statement.

He said he only found out about his good fortune after a friend alerted him that someone had won the jackpot.

He then checked his ticket and discovered that he was the winner.

The grocery buyer said he was so happy that he could not sleep the entire night.

“I kept rechecking my ticket again and again to make sure that my numbers had really struck the jackpot,” he said, adding that he was still trying to process the unexpected windfall.

He said he planned to use his winnings to settle all his outstanding debts.
