GEORGE TOWN:
The body of a man believed to have died about five days ago was found in a car in Gelugor today.

Timur Laut police chief Abdul Rozak Muhammad said police were alerted by the public at about 11.45am to the discovery of the body inside a vehicle parked in front of an ice cream shop on Jalan Sungai Dua.

He said the driver had been identified as a 37-year-old man from Ayer Itam. He was found well-dressed and slumped in the driver’s seat of a car registered to his wife.

“Checks on the body and the surrounding area found no elements of foul play,” he said in a statement.
