Aminuddin Harun's weekly routine has drawn greater attention amid talk of a snap state election, especially after Johor dissolved its assembly on Monday.

PETALING JAYA:
Negeri Sembilan menteri besar Aminuddin Harun spent nearly two hours at Istana Hinggap in Seremban meeting Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

Aminuddin arrived at the palace at 9.05am and left at 10.47am, telling reporters briefly that it was a “normal Wednesday” for him, Sinar Harian reported.

The Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman was joined in the audience by state police chief Alzafny Ahmad.

Aminuddin’s audience with Tuanku Muhriz is part of his weekly routine ahead of the state executive council meeting, which is expected to be followed by a press conference at 1.30pm.

However, the audience has drawn greater scrutiny amid speculation of a snap Negeri Sembilan assembly election, especially after the dissolution of the Johor legislature on Monday.

Yesterday, state PH leaders and assemblymen held a last-minute meeting at the menteri besar’s official residence, although DAP’s Cha Kee Chin played down its significance.

Cha, the Negeri Sembilan DAP secretary and Rasah MP, nonetheless confirmed that the leaders had discussed PH’s preparedness for a state election.
