
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Ann Joo said the contract is from TNB’s subsidiary Tenaga Switchgear Sdn Bhd and involves electrification of feeder stations along the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) in Terengganu and Pahang.
It said Ann Joo’s unit, in consortium with Indonesia’s PT Lumintu Insan Mandiri, has been awarded the design and build project for electrifying feeder stations.
“This includes a 132kV switching station, overhead transmission lines, underground cable installation, and related works,” it said.
Ann Joo said the feeder stations include FS03-Sg Tong, Terengganu, FS04-Merchang, Terengganu, FS05 Kemasek, Terengganu, FS07-Gambang, Pahang, and FS08-Maran, Pahang.
“The ECRL electrification project is expected to be completed by May 31, 2026, and is expected to contribute positively to group revenue and earnings for financial years 2024 and 2025,” it said.
As at 4.45pm, Ann Joo’s share price was up by 6 sen or 4.92% at RM1.28, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM741 million.
