Rakuten Trade Sdn Bhd vice-president of equity research Thong Pak Leng said the barometer index had recorded some losses yesterday amid profit-taking ahead of the shortened trading week.

“For today, we expect the index to hover within the 1,745–1,755 range,” he added.
