Manja: The little abandoned cat who loved to cuddle

Manja was especially attached to Farah Afiqah's mother and would follow her around the house all day long like a white shadow.

Manja loved to be cuddled and pampered.

Farah Afiqah and her mom were seeing her little brother off at the bus stand when they spotted an adorably sweet white cat softly meowing at passers-by.

It really did seem that this little beauty was lonely and just begging for some love and affection from anyone who would stop to give it to her.

Farah remembers wondering, with a pang of sadness, how so many people walked right past the cat without even stopping to look or having the urge to pick her up.

Feeling the same, Farah’s mom asked the security guard there if the cat belonged to anyone. When he said no, she decided to give the cat a forever home.

Manja settled into the family almost immediately. She loved butting heads with Farah’s mom while loudly purring like a locomotive chugging down the tracks.

It became apparent soon enough that Manja was likely abandoned by the family she lived with before.

She earned the name Manja because she loved being cuddled and pampered. So attached was Manja to Farah’s mom that she followed her around the house all day long like a little white shadow.

Farah says that even after getting married, Manja was very much the apple of her eye. And she was delighted that even her baby boy, Athif loved playing with the cat.

Sadly, Manja passed away too soon. But as Farah says, Manja will remain a part of their family for always.

Always up for a cuddle and a kiss, Manja was everybody’s favourite fur ball.
