However, the PKR vice-president insists that independent candidates are not to be taken lightly.

SEREMBAN:
Negeri Sembilan PH chief Aminuddin Harun has dismissed independent candidates’ chances in the state ahead of the upcoming polls.

“If we look at the southern areas (of Malaysia), independent candidates are not much of a threat. But we do not take them lightly and will continue our campaigning,” the caretaker menteri besar said at a farmers’ market here.

The PKR vice-president was asked to comment on the threat that former Seremban PKR deputy chief Rafie Ab Malek, who is looking to defend his Ampangan seat as an independent candidate, will pose.
