This was announced in a statement released today by the Prime Minister’s Department.
“The government has agreed to move the birthday celebration of His Highness Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V for the year 2017 from Saturday, July 29, to Saturday, Sept 9,” it said.
The amendment will be in effect for the next five years under the rule of Sultan Muhammad V, from 2017 to 2021.
