
In a post on his official Facebook page, Lin advised his staff, whom he addressed as fellow Gamudians, that the GE14 results had shown there was a shift in voter sentiment.
“What’s clear enough now is that it will be a very close contest whichever side wins.
“In view of this, if you don’t feel it’s safe to come out to work tomorrow, it’s perfectly okay. If you don’t go to work tomorrow, the company is fine with your decision.”
However, Lin did specify one group of staff members for whom the option to skip work did not apply.

Lin was believed to be referring to the underground project related to the Klang Valley MRT Line 2 that is still under construction.
As of 11.30pm, the Election Commission had still not released the results for more than half of the 222 parliamentary seats.
As it stands, Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional have 40 seats each while PAS has won three seats, with three more seats going to independent candidates.
