PETALING JAYA: Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad today announced that he and his wife Dr Imaan Abdul Rahim have agreed to end their marriage.
The matter was confirmed by his personal assistant.
The couple, who had been married for 14 years, have one son, Nik Ilhan Nik Nazmi.
In a statement, the PKR central leadership council member said he was grateful for their years together as well as the support they had received from their family and friends.
“I would like to apologise for any pain or grief caused to any party, especially our families.
“Our son’s happiness and well-being are our sole concern and we are committed to raising him together,” he added.
He also asked all quarters to respect their privacy, saying no further statements would be issued.
