However, the party’s secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said he would leave it to Pakatan Harapan Perak to resolve it as the ruling coalition was focussing on the by-election in Tanjung Piai.
“I admit it is a problem and we won’t run away from it. But let it be handled in Perak as we are in Tanjung Piai,” he told reporters after a ceramah here.
Yesterday, a video clip of Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu discussing with a group of people on how he had to face certain DAP factions over several issues, including that concerning Malay land, made rounds on social media.
He also expressed his gratitude that some “friends in Umno” did not reprimand him in his efforts and that he was on good terms with them.
Faizal later denied any rift with DAP, saying the clip of him complaining of his “lone battle” was taken out of context and that the video did not record his full remarks.
Earlier today NST reported that Lim had urged Faizal to clear the air over his statement, saying that the latter must come forward to explain if what was mentioned in the video was not true.
