General Operations Force officer believed shot dead at Malaysia-Thai border

The inspector-general of police says he is on his way to check on other personnel involved.

KUALA LUMPUR:
A General Operations Force (PGA) personnel on duty at the Malaysia-Thailand border in Perlis died, believed to have been shot, early this morning.

Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador confirmed the incident with Bernama but declined to give details.

“Yes, I confirm the incident and I am on my way there (Perlis) to see the condition of the (other) PGA personnel involved,” he said.

It is understood that Perlis police will hold a press conference on the incident later.
