KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan Umno will take on PPBM in the state but will leave PAS alone to battle it out with other opposition parties in the 15th general election (GE15), the state party chief Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub has indicated.
“We can still be with PAS but Umno has rejected any pact with PPBM. That means PAS should not contest in any seats belonging to Umno,” he said during a meeting with the division leaders today.
Jazlan said Kelantan Umno would also review the party’s relationship with PAS, if it continues to work with PPBM.
“We will have to look at our relationship with PAS again if they still want to work together with PPBM, as that will mean they have indirectly rejected us.”
