
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 4,427 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 141,446.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 183,801.
There are 41,667 active cases with 265 patients being treated in intensive care and 102 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 11 deaths bring the death toll to 678.
The 11 deaths reported in the last 24 hours included three from Sarawak, and two each from Sabah, Terengganu and Johor. Melaka and Selangor reported one death each.
Of the new cases, Selangor reported the highest number of cases (950), out of which 805 were from clusters and close contacts.
This was followed by Sabah (431) and Kuala Lumpur (390).
Of the total new cases, 242 were from prison, lock-up and detention centre clusters — Jalan Harapan (138), Damai Pelangi (57), Sungai Jelok (22), Tembok Mempaga (9), Tempok Taiping (6), Tembok Renggam (3), Seberang Perai (3), Tembok Kemus (3) and Tembok Sungai Udang (1).
