In a police report sighted by FMT, the 30-year-old woman, who said she was also from the same party as the assemblyman, said the “Yang Berhormat” had allegedly committed “acts that made her feel uneasy” on March 8.

She said she had initially gone out with him to talk about political issues concerning their party, but the assemblyman became “personal” with her later.

“I had thought highly of him until he took me to dinner at a restaurant. On the way there, he started molesting (me) and did unwanted things. He also took the longer route to the restaurant.”

The woman indicated in the report that the man told her not to tell anyone about what had transpired.

Subang Jaya police chief Khalid Othman confirmed that the case has been classified under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
