‘Court cluster’ politicians are nation’s enemies, says Bersatu man

PETALING JAYA:
Besides Covid-19, the nation’s main threats at this time include certain politicians who are part of a “court cluster”, said a Bersatu leader today.

Bersatu Supreme Council member Muhammad Faiz Na’aman said the “court cluster” was hiding under the guise of struggling for Malay supremacy to protect their own interests.

He added that this was similar to the modus operandi of the cartel that was monopolising government tenders, which was recently busted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

“They betrayed our people and are willing to sacrifice the interests of the nation, Bumiputeras and Muslims to the point that the New Economic Policy failed to achieve its goals,” he said in a statement today.

Although he did not mention any names, he was believed to be alluding to Umno leaders like party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and former prime minister Najib Razak.

Describing the court cluster as opportunistic, Faiz said they had been trying to cause political instability in the country amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Who are these desperate characters? They are the same people who stole the people’s money to the point of being caught in various corruption and abuse of power scandals.

“Although some have been found guilty of corruption, this court cluster remains thick-faced in speaking about race and religion,” he said.
