
However, dine-ins will continue to be banned.
Business hours for eateries are currently 8am to 8pm in the peninsula, 7am to 7pm in Sabah and 6am to 8pm in Sarawak.
Ismail said the decision on the new hours was made after hearing the views and pleas of food and beverage outlet operators during the lockdown.
He also confirmed that lockdown measures of the current movement control order, or Phase 1 of the national recovery plan, would continue.
He reiterated that the transition to Phase 2 would only take place when the average number of cases drops to 4,000 a day, intensive care bed usage is reduced to a moderate level and 10% of the population have been fully vaccinated.
New EMCO lockdowns in Kota Belud, Sabah
Ismail announced fresh enhanced MCOs (EMCOs) in two localities in Kota Belud, Sabah following a rise in Covid-19 infections there. Kampung Nahaba Tegudon and Kampung Linau will be under the EMCO from June 29 to July 12.
Meanwhile, the EMCO in Kampung Penimbawan, Tuaran, Sabah was extended to July 12. It was supposed to end tomorrow.
Several EMCOs will end on time, namely in the five sub-zones in Labuan; Kampung Lebak Moyoh in Kota Belud; Batu 3.5 Jalan Apas (Kiri) in Tawau; Kampung Tanjung Kapor in Kudat; Kampung Tabuan Haji Drahman in Kuching; and the 11 longhouses and SK Stalon in Mukah, Sarawak.
Yesterday, 798 people were caught by the police for flouting SOPs, with 762 compounded, 24 remanded and 12 granted bail.
The authorities also arrested 28 undocumented migrants and seized six land vehicles, as part of the ongoing Op Benteng.
