36 Covid-19 clusters, half involving workplaces

Kelantan sees a surge in community clusters with seven reported in the state.

The clusters were detected in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Kelantan, Perak, Sarawak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Sabah, Pahang and Kedah.

The health ministry has detected 36 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.

In a statement, he said 18 of them were workplace clusters, 14 were community clusters, three were high-risk group clusters and one involved a detention centre.

The clusters were detected in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Kelantan, Perak, Sarawak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Sabah, Pahang and Kedah.

Kelantan

  • Persiaran Rimba Permai Construction Site: workplace cluster linked to a construction site. It involves Sepang. 214 screened, 12 positive.
  • Sungai Puloh 14: workplace cluster linked to a supermarket. It involves Klang and Petaling. 72 screened, 29 positive.
  • Jalan Ramin Satu: high-risk group cluster linked to a dialysis centre. It involves Klang, Kuala Langat and Petaling. 61 screened, 17 positive.

Johor
