5 new Covid-19 clusters, 4 linked to workplaces

The clusters were detected in Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Johor, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry has detected five new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.

In a statement, he said four were linked to workplaces and one to the community.

The clusters were detected in Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Johor, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

Selangor

  • Jalan Rumbia Construction Site: a workplace cluster linked to a construction site. It involves Kuala Selangor. 70 screened, 12 positive.

Kuala Lumpur

  • Persiaran Alam 2: a workplace cluster. It involves Cheras. 31 screened, 11 positive.

Johor

  • Industri Jalan Teluk Buloh: a workplace cluster. It involves Batu Pahat. 82 screened, 13 positive.

Pahang

  • Sawit Bukit Puteri: a workplace cluster. It involves Lipis. 28 screened, 18 positive.

Negeri Sembilan

  • Tekir: a community cluster. It involves Seremban. 105 screened, 19 positive.

Meanwhile, the National Security Council (MKN) today announced that there was only one area placed under the enhanced movement control order, namely Ladang Sime Darby Bukit Puteri, Mukim Batu Yon 1, Lipis, in Pahang. It will be in force for two weeks, from Nov 6-19.
