This comes after Salahuddin kept the door open for Amanah to talk with Bersatu and PAS on working together in GE15, while downplaying DAP’s view that it would not work with the two Perikatan Nasional parties.
In a statement, Loke maintained that it was Salahuddin’s personal view and not a stand that was decided by PH’s presidential council.

“I urge all leaders in PH to discuss any views on political cooperation with other parties within the presidential council and not through open statements to avoid any confusion among our members and supporters.
“Every decision on PH’s direction and cooperation with those outside the coalition must be jointly decided by the presidential council,” he said.
The former transport minister maintained that DAP could not work with PN in GE15 since the Muhyiddin Yassin-led coalition was still a part of the current government bloc.
On the other hand, he said, PH’s “big tent” concept was only for cooperation with parties in the opposition.
“Everyone in PH needs to realise that it is very hard to form a cooperation with PN in view of the dark history we have with its component parties (after the Sheraton Move),” said Loke.
Yesterday, Salahuddin said Amanah president Mohamad Sabu might have been misquoted when he cautioned PH against working with Bersatu and PAS in GE15.
He had told reporters the day before that PH should be open to talks with all opposition parties ahead of GE15 in order to put up a united front to defeat Barisan Nasional.
