No need to fill in traveller’s card in MySejahtera to enter Malaysia

Health minister Khairy Jamaluddin says this decision was made in view of the better state of the healthcare system.

Visitors don’t have to fill in the traveller’s card when entering Malaysia.
PETALING JAYA:
Travellers are no longer required to fill up a traveller’s card in the MySejahtera app before entering the country, says health minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

He said the requirement will be done away with from Monday after taking into account the better state of the country’s healthcare at present.

Khairy said in the meantime, the health authorities will increase surveillance on travellers at all entry points to ensure they do not have any symptoms of communicable diseases.

He said those found to be ill will be asked to go for further checks.

“After evaluation, if they are found to have signs of Covid-19, monkeypox, MERS-CoV or any other illness, they will be sent for further checks and treatment at the nearest health facility,” he said in a statement.
