
The DAP chairman said that with the ringgit at a record low against the dollar and a host of other economic problems, including inflation and food security, affecting the people, Hadi should be focused on those issues instead.
The former Bagan MP was speaking to reporters at the Penang DAP headquarters here over reports of Hadi continuing to tell people that DAP leaders were “atheists”, “communists”, and “LGBT sympathisers”.
“If we were to look at PAS’ extremist comments, we could give them labels too. But we have chosen a saner path by arguing based on facts,” Lim said.
“I hope Hadi can name the DAP leaders who he claims to be deviant so we can take him to court. Don’t throw stones and hide.”
Separately, Lim urged MCA chief Wee Ka Siong to suspend his campaigning in Johor to focus on the Kelana Jaya LRT line’s service disruptions in the Klang Valley.
On Wednesday, rail operator Prasarana announced that part of the Kelana Jaya LRT line – which serves about 200,000 passengers daily – would be suspended for a week due to a technical issue.
Meanwhile, at the same press conference, RSN Rayer, who is defending the Jelutong parliamentary seat under Pakatan Harapan, questioned the presence of Barisan Nasional posters with Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s image at his constituency when the latter was not a candidate.
He urged the Election Commission to investigate the matter.
