“We found that the generator set used was damaged this morning but it has been successfully repaired,” Sentul district police chief Beh Eng Lai told Bernama.
He said there was no trouble during the incident.
Meanwhile, TNB Careline, through a statement on Facebook, said investigations found that a wiring problem caused the generator set to fail.
“TNB will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that electricity supply remains stable throughout the voting process,” the statement added.
Earlier, there were allegations of a power trip for almost an hour at the polling station, with voters forced to vote in the dark.
