Kuala Lumpur traffic investigation and enforcement chief Zamzuri Isa said the accident occurred at about 8.30am when the victim was riding his motorcycle on the left lane of Jalan Kampung Pandan, headed from the Kampung Pandan roundabout towards Desa Pandan.

He said the car had turned onto the road from a junction, causing the motorcycle to crash into the right side of the vehicle.

“The motorcyclist, 45, sustained serious injuries to his head and body and was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital. He was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at the emergency department,” said Zamzuri in a statement.

The driver, aged 44, was arrested yesterday, and tested negative for drugs and alcohol.

The case is being investigated for causing death by reckless driving.
