We’ll decide when the time comes, says Rafizi on KJ joining PKR

PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli says the party will continue to monitor any development on Khairy Jamaluddin's future in politics.

Rafizi Ramli said it was not his decision alone on whether Khairy Jamaluddin would be accepted into PKR.
KUALA LUMPUR:
Any decision to invite or allow former Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin to join PKR will need to be discussed by the party leaders, says Rafizi Ramli.

The PKR deputy president said the matter has not been brought up thus far, and if and when it arises, it will be a consensus.

“The matter (of Khairy joining PKR) has not arisen. When it does, certainly PKR needs to discuss the matter.

“However, it is not my decision alone,” he told reporters after a forum at Parliament last night.

Rafizi said the party will continue to monitor any development on Khairy’s future in politics following his expulsion from Umno and review the situation when necessary.

Umno last night sacked Khairy and former Selangor Umno chief Noh Omar as well as suspended several leaders, including Sembrong MP Hishammuddin Hussein, for “breaching party discipline during the 15th general election (GE15)”.

In a tweet, Khairy said that he was “unbowed, unbent and unbroken” by Umno’s decision.
