Since then, the party had not received any fresh offers to join Anwar Ibrahim’s government, he said.
“It was right after the 15th general election. There is no offer now,” he told reporters after attending the Terengganu International Summit (TIS) in Kuala Terengganu today.
The Marang MP had previously claimed he had been approached by certain individuals with an offer for PAS to join the unity government.
However, he said, it would not benefit PAS and such a move would only serve to strengthen the unity government by adding more seats.
Hadi’s deputy, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, revealed that he was also approached by representatives from the unity government with the same offer.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the offer that PAS purportedly received to join the unity government did not come from him.
Anwar maintained that the proposal for PAS to join Putrajaya had never been raised or discussed by the top leadership of the coalitions in the government.
Hadi went on to say the current unity government did not fit the definition of such an administration. The government comprises Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional, as well as Gabungan Parti Sarawak and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah, the two ruling coalitions in East Malaysia.
“A unity government means it would include every political party and there would be no opposition. That is what is meant by ‘unity’,” he said.
He also said PAS will remain in Perikatan Nasional.
