PETALING JAYA:
Kuala Lumpur police chief Shuhaily Zain will become the new Bukit Aman criminal investigation department (CID) director on Aug 30, the federal police announced.

Shuhaily had taken over as KL’s top cop on May 22, having served as Penang police chief before that.

The Bukit Aman CID director’s post has been left vacant since Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay was made deputy inspector-general of police in June.

Meanwhile, Bukit Aman’s integrity and standards compliance department (JIPS) deputy director Allaudeen Abdul Majid will take over from Shuhaily as KL police chief.

Allaudeen will in turn be replaced by Ibrahim Saad, the principal assistant director in JIPS.
