JPJ enforcement director Kifli Ma Hasan said this followed the arrest of a foreigner driving a rented car without a valid driving licence during an integrated operation last night.
He said the foreigner was driving a rented Honda City, with two passengers, to go to Penang.
“We will identify the owner of the car. If it is found that the vehicle was rented to the foreigner, action will be taken,” he said after the operation.

The operation, mounted at the Jalan Duta toll plaza, also involved the police, the immigration department, the National Anti-Drug Agency and the environment department.
Kifli said the number of road accidents involving foreigners is increasing and creating public anxiety.
“JPJ will continue to carry out operations to address the problem,” he said.
Earlier, Kuala Lumpur JPJ director Zaki Ismail said the rented car was among 2,512 vehicles inspected during the operation.
During the operation, 21 foreigners, consisting of Indonesian, Bangladeshi, Nepalis and Indian nationals, were inspected and seven of them, including an Indonesian woman, were arrested for various offences.
“A total of 416 summonses were issued and 11 vehicles were seized in the operation,” he said, adding that most of the offences were for driving or riding motorcycles without valid licences.
Transport ministry secretary-general Jana Santhiran Muniayan and JPJ director-general Rospiagos Taha were present during the operation.
