PETALING JAYA: Police arrested two men – a local resident and a foreigner – in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a hotel car park in Bintulu, Sarawak, last night.
Bintulu police chief Nixon Joshua Ali said the suspects, in their 40s, were arrested in Miri at 3am today, the Borneo Post reported.
Police also seized a vehicle which they believed was used in the murder.
Nixon said the victim, who was found drenched in blood, was declared dead at the scene.
Police will apply for a remand for the duo to facilitate the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
“The police are committed to tracking down the suspects involved in this case and we advise the public against speculating about it,” he was quoted as saying.
