Missing boy was at friend’s house playing video games

Kluang police say 14-year-old, reported missing last Tuesday, returned home at 3.30am on Sunday.

A 14-year-old boy reported missing from his home at Kampung Melayu in Kluang, Johor, last Tuesday was found safe yesterday morning.

Kluang police chief Bahrin Noh said Syawal Abdullah was at a friend’s house in the same neighbourhood when he was reported missing, according to Sinar Harian.

“His parents found him returning home at 3.30am on Sunday,” he said in a statement.

Syawal told his parents he was at his friend’s house playing video games.

Bahrain also said the boy had returned home for food and to shower while his parents were away.

Police received a report on Syawal’s disappearance last Friday after he left home on Tuesday morning.
