KPJ Healthcare achieves triple recognition for excellence in human capital

The group has earned three top HR awards, solidifying its position as a leading employer in Malaysia’s healthcare sector.

KPJ Healthcare Bhd has achieved a significant milestone in human capital excellence after securing three awards that highlight its standing as a leading employer in Malaysia’s healthcare industry.

In a statement yesterday, the group announced its recognition at the Graduates’ Choice Award, the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in the HR Asia Awards, and the 24th Malaysia-International HR Awards 2024.

“These accolades underscore KPJ Healthcare’s dedication to fostering talent, creating a positive workplace culture, and advancing human resources best practices,” it said.

KPJ Healthcare president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan said the awards serve as a recognition of the company’s dedication to its C.A.R.E values – Commitment, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.

“(These awards) reaffirmed the dedication of KPJ Healthcare’s employees in driving innovation, delivering high-quality care, and its commitment to building a workplace where talent thrives.

“We remain focussed on setting new benchmarks in human capital excellence to support our mission of providing world-class healthcare services,” he said.

At the Graduates’ Choice Award 2025, KPJ Healthcare was named Champion in the Healthcare (Hospitals) category, a title awarded based on the votes of university students across Malaysia.

It said this recognition reflects the group’s ability to engage young talent and align with the aspirations of the next generation of the workforce.

KPJ Healthcare also secured a spot among the Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2024 at the HR Asia Awards, based on direct feedback from employees

“Based on direct feedback from employees, this award highlights the group’s success in building an inclusive, supportive, and empowering work environment that drives high satisfaction and engagement,” it said.

At the 24th Malaysia-International HR Awards 2024, KPJ Klang Specialist Hospital and KPJ Kajang Specialist Hospital were honoured with Gold in the Employer of Choice (Private Sector) category.

Adding to the recognition, Renuga Muniandy, CEO of KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital and covering regional CEO for Northern & East Coast Region, was presented with the HR Champion Award for her leadership in human capital innovation.

The group said these achievements solidify KPJ Healthcare’s standing as a trusted employer and a leader in healthcare human resource management, while continuing to attract and retain top talent and deliver exceptional healthcare services across Malaysia.
