The prime minister said his assessment was based on his visits abroad. He thanked Wisma Putra staff for their efforts despite being burdened with much greater tasks than in previous years.

Anwar said that Wisma Putra, led by foreign minister Mohamad Hasan, provided an important link in bringing Malaysia’s visions and policies to foreign countries.

He also praised Mohamad (who is known as Tok Mat) for his success in bringing together a large number of diplomats for the iftar gathering.

“No joking, I said when the prime minister invites, not all ambassadors attend but when the foreign minister invites, I see so many are present without fail. You see the strength and influence of our foreign minister and the ministry,” he said.
