The Terengganu and Johor governments today announced a RM500 bonus for civil servants in their respective states.

Johor menteri besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the bonus would be given to 140,185 federal civil servants serving in the state, with an allocation of RM70.1 million.

Onn Hafiz said media practitioners registered with the Johor Media Club would also receive RM1,000 each through the Bantuan Kasih Johor initiative from an allocation of RM200,000.

“This will be channelled through two payment phases, in December and February 2026,” Bernama reported him as saying when tabling the Johor Budget 2026 in Kota Iskandar.

Terengganu menteri besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said the RM500 bonus would apply to over 14,000 civil servants in the state.

However, he did not give further details.
