PETALING JAYA:
Full-time wardens will be stationed at all 58 Mara Junior Science Colleges (MRSM) next year, Majlis Amanah Rakyat chairman Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said.

Asyraf said these wardens will comprise vetted and trained former uniformed personnel.

“Teachers will no longer be burdened with warden duties and will be able to focus on teaching and educating students,” he said in a post on Threads today.

The decision to employ former uniformed personnel as full-time wardens follows a pilot project carried out in August last year to curb bullying.

The pilot project was put in place following several bullying incidents in 2025, which led to the expulsion of the perpetrators.

Since becoming the Mara chairman, Asyraf has implemented a “you-touch-you-go” policy.
