The MCA Youth central committee said its representatives will be there to show support for the rally organisers’ demands.
It called on all Malaysians to take part in the rally in a responsible and peaceful manner to push for meaningful reforms and a restoration of public trust in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
“The people have the right to demand a clean, fair and credible anti-corruption system. This rally provides an important platform for the public to express these concerns,” it said in a statement.
Earlier, DAP Youth said it would join the rally, which is expected to be also attended by PKR’s Rafizi Ramli and Wong Chen, among others.
The rally will push for a holistic probe into Azam’s shareholding allegations, and a royal commission of inquiry to investigate allegations of a so-called “corporate mafia” involving MACC.
MCA and DAP are components of Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan, respectively. They have remained critical of one another despite both being part of the government bloc in the Dewan Rakyat.
