
PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested three primary suspects who had been on the run for more than a month to assist in an investigation into a fatal parang attack on a man outside a restaurant at Bukit Kangkar in Tangkak, Johor, on March 13.
Tangkak police chief Roslan Talib said the men, aged 24 to 32, were arrested at three locations in Jasin, Melaka, last night following intelligence gathering and tip-offs, Bernama reported.
Police previously confirmed arresting 10 suspects in connection with the case but all were released on bail after their statements were recorded.
In the 7.40pm incident on March 13, Tong Wei Sheng, 38, was attacked near a restaurant in Bukit Kangkar by three masked men armed with parangs and wearing jackets.
He died upon arrival at a hospital after sustaining injuries to his hands, legs and back.
