Batu Pahat magistrate Nurasidah A Rahman said the 54-year-old would be remanded until next Tuesday, Berita Harian reported.

According to a police report, the alleged abuse came to light after the victim underwent health screening at her school.

Medical personnel noticed that the girl appeared depressed and withdrawn and asked about the problems she was facing, prompting her to claim that she had been sexually abused by her biological father since 2025.

The victim, who has been living with her aunt following her parents’ divorce, said the latest incident occurred on May 3 at her father’s house in Batu Pahat, and that she was invited to watch pornographic videos since February.

She was referred to Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital for a medical examination and lodged a police report yesterday.

Police arrested the suspect last night and seized his mobile phone.
