Angler’s remains found in river after crocodile attack

PETALING JAYA:
Rescuers have found the remains of an angler who was reported missing yesterday in Marudi, Sarawak, and is believed to have been killed by a crocodile while fishing in Sungai Ridan.

The Sarawak fire and rescue department said the legs, head and a hand of Liew Mei Koon, 64, were found this morning and the remains were handed over to the police.

Liew was reported missing by his younger brother after Liew’s motorcycle, clothing and fishing equipment were found beneath the Sungai Ridan bridge.
