<p>The Federal Court’s decision to uphold former prime minister Najib Razak’s conviction in the SRC International case brings to an end a four-year saga filled with twists and turns.</p>
<p>Najib faced four charges of abuse power and three charges of criminal breach of trust in relation to the SRC International case.</p>
<p>On July 28, 2020, he was convicted by the High Court and sentenced to 12 years in jail and fined RM210 million.</p>
<p>He failed in his appeal at the Court of Appeal and now, the Federal Court.</p>
<p>With this, Najib becomes the first former prime minister to be jailed.</p>
