After Brindha Dorai’s mum got a poodle, Brindha longed for one as well. With that in mind, her husband Lavin Vignesh went on the hunt to find the perfect poodle for his new bride.
After getting in contact with numerous breeders, he found the perfect furkid to complete their family. They decided to name her Daisyy Beth.
The adorable toy poodle is barely one year old but already displays an outgoing, larger-than-life personality. “She is very friendly and is ready to befriend anyone she meets,” Lavin tells FMT.

She is a huge attention seeker and whines when she does not get enough of it. Lavin says when they are busy watching television or eating, Daisyy will bring her toys to them, expecting them to play with her.
“She will also jump on our legs and cry until we pick her up to sit on the couch with us,” Brindha adds with a laugh.
Being a baby, Daisyy loves being rocked while having someone sing “rock-a-bye baby” to her to send her to dreamland.
In the evenings, she enjoys going for walks in her neighbourhood and meeting all the other dogs. But she tends to overestimate her small size and thinks she can go up against the larger hounds.

Daisyy also enjoys barking at all the cats, though many are bigger than her. “The cats probably think she’s a rat since she is so small,” Lavin laughs.
She is a very mischievous and cheeky little pup. “She has a new habit of tearing things up, especially if we leave her alone. I think it’s her way of showing her anger,” Lavin says, noting that even her pee pads, used for toilet training, are not spared.
Daisyy is a very picky eater and gets bored of her food easily. On most days she likes her kibble but if given that for more than three days, she goes on strike and won’t eat until her humans feed her something else.

“When she gets bored of her food, we usually need to boil some chicken or air-fry some salmon to keep her excited about her meals,” Brindha says.
“It can be quite difficult to get her to eat sometimes, and we occasionally even find her fighting with her bowl,” Lavin says fondly.
Daisyy is afraid of loud noises, especially sirens and the sound of the fogging machine that is often heard in their neighbourhood, which send her running to her humans for safety.
This little poodle is also very smart and has already learnt a couple of tricks. She sits when she wants treats, and gives Lavin and Brindha a high-five with her nose when they hold out her hand and say, “Touch!”

Daisyy is affectionate and clingy, following her two-legged companions around like a little shadow. “She even waits for us outside the toilet,” Brindha shares wryly.
Though she has her own room and playpen, the pretty pooch loves snoozing in her humans’ bed.
“Every morning at 7am she barks to come into our room to cuddle with us,” Lavin reveals, adding that she loves to join them for naps, getting nice and cosy under the covers.
