Don’t be swayed by slander on social media, Tok Mat tells voters

Mohamad Hasan says voters should evaluate the arguments presented by parties based on facts rather than false narratives.

SEREMBAN:
Umno deputy president Mohamad Hassan has advised voters to carefully decide on who they will vote for, saying that they should not be swayed by allegations and sentiments spread on social media throughout the six state elections.

Mohamad, or better known as Tok Mat, said voters should evaluate the arguments presented by parties based on facts rather than false narratives, especially during the campaign period.

“This is the new approach of campaigning, through social media. There is no filter against false allegations on social media, so the people must have the ability to discern right from wrong,” he told reporters after a visit to Dewan Angkasaraya at the Sendayan airbase.
